Polypropylene corrugated plastic boxes are a recognized new generation reusable packaging replacement of corrugated cardboards. Corrugated plastic boxes are mostly used, when cardboard boxes are unable to meet the packaging needs of the products and companies.
Plastic corrugated boxes are similar in structure, styles and purpose to corrugated paper, but corrugated plastic boxes can be reused multiple times as it is durable, reusable and waterproof.
The box does not produce dust like cardboard, and it is easy to wash and clean the surfaces, cleanliness makes it ideal for medical, pharmaceutical, clean room applications and other places where cleanliness is important.
The primary material of our plastic box is fluted twin wall polypropylene sheet which is an extruded material in flat form. The flat sheets can be used to fabricate various styles of corrugated boxes and custom packaging systems. Compared to other plastic packaging, size and shape of the pp corrugated boxes can be easily customized. Also, the sheet can be produced in different thicknesses between 2 mm to 12 mm.
Plastik Koli manufactures custom corrugated plastic boxes for returnable use, or to serve as one-way packaging for products that require extra protection. The corrugated plastic boxes are lightweight but are far better than cardboard boxes when you are moving heavy items.
Practically any corrugated cardboard box can also be manufactured as a corrugated plastic box, offering all the benefits of cardboard plus durability, waterproof, moisture, dust, humidity and chemical resistance (like acids, detergents, greases and oil & more). More benefits of plastic boxes include the ability to be stacked, locked, and folded flat for storage purposes.
For supply chain applications, reusability provides high benefits in controlling and reducing costs if the distribution cycle allows to return the boxes. Beside reducing cost; reusability, returnability and recyclability reduces resource usage and impact on the environment, which is an important factor in packaging waste requirements. Besides all these boxes are produced from environmentally friendly polypropylene and it is 0 recyclable.
Long-term in-plant storage, printed-circuit boards, reusable shipping, transport of heavy items, some food, medical and supply chain products are some examples of products and usages that are in need of a durable box such as corrugated plastic. PP corrugated plastic boxes are often used in waste management, food transportation, medical packaging, and many more industries.
Printing - Most commonly, a simple one- or two-color screen print will be used to create logos, text and branding. If more color or cmyk printing is needed, it is possible to add full or partial digital print and screen printing to corrugated pp boxes. We are allowing you the freedom to add whatever graphics, imagery and text you wish and need. Also, as a cheaper alternative label and vinyl with any graphics adhere very well to the box as it has a smooth surface, and they are generally tough and durable once applied. The application of the labels / vinyl needs labor cost and mostly used for low quantities, so depending on the purchasing volumes, printing may still be the most economical option.
Inserts / dividers - Dividers are used to help to protect the contents of the pack during transit to minimizing movement. They are mostly used for sending multiple products in a single pack, It can also be used for safe storage of the product on an ongoing basis (meaning the end user is much more likely to retain the pack). Number, size, color and thickness of the dividers can be customized.
Handles and fittings - Any size and shape of handle can be added to the boxes with cutting mold and afterwards also a range of molded plastic components and fixtures can be added. Our boxes can be extended to other elements, such as catches, poppers, hook and loop tape stacking corners, cushioning, hand holes and more which will help the packaging can be practical, visually striking and to fit specific use cases.
